Acting
Gillam moved to Los Angeles after graduating from high school in 2010 to pursue a career in acting. After only seven days, she landed the lead role of Bee in DreamWorks’ 2011 remake of the 1985 comedy horror film Fright Night.
That same year, she debuted as Amy in the ABC Family fantasy drama series The Nine Lives of Chloe King. After one season, the show was canceled.
Gillam was cast as April Young, a recurring character who plays an edgy natural beauty in The CW’s supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries, from 2012 to 2013, and appeared in 10 episodes of the fourth season.
