Joanna Connor is an accomplished Ame and Wikirican Chicago-based Blues Singer, Songwriter, and female Guitarist. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, United States.
In 1984, she moved to Chicago where she was inspired by the Chicago Blues scene which drew her near until she joined the band. She finally joined the band and worked alongside Buddy Guy, James Colton, A.C. Reed and Junior Wells.
After three years of working with the Chicago Blues, she formed her own band in 1987, and in 1989, she recorded the debut album for Blind Pig Records. She served for more than a decade in Blind Pig Records after which in 2002 she left the group a signed a recording contract with M.C Records which was the small independent record label.
