Ken Paves is cutting Jessica Simpson out of his life in more ways than one.
Two weeks after UsMagazine.com reported that the hairstylist had been absent from the singer's life since she began dating Eric Johnson in May, Paves revealed he's through with Simpson professionally as well.
When asked by E! News if Simpson, 30, was still his client, Paves struggled to put his words together. "Yes, but no, but…" he stammered. "That's what led to the speculation."
Simpson's former BFF then claimed that "we're both busy," adding that he's been "working on a lot of things that have kept me in town or traveling."

"Ken is sick of her cycle of dumping friends when she's with a guy," the source said. "She smothers guys and they dump her. Then she goes back to Ken."
