FBI: International has undergone a cast shake-up as the show returns for a second season, with one actor departing and another joining the CBS show.

Eva-Jane Willis has joined the show as a series regular and she has taken on the role of Megan "Smitty" Garretson, a new Europol agent.

Willis has been added to the cast following Christiane Paul's exit from the show in July 2022, Deadline reported Paul's exit from the cast at the time but no reason was given for the actor's departure.

Megan replaces Paul's Katrin Jaeger, and her character is said to be "a street-wise Europol agent with an extensive undercover background who is embedded with The Fly Team and liaises with each host country they inhabit," according to Deadline.

Willis' character joined FBI: International's Europol team in the second season's premiere episode, and she already has a history with Scott Forrester (played by Luke Kleintank).

According to TV Insider, on her first episode Smitty told Forrester she decided to join the team because "Katrin thought I'd be able to jump into the deep end since we already have a shorthand, and of course, I understand I have enormous shoes to fill. I intend to do just that."

Although she is new to the team, it appears the character will quickly become a key member, and the actor also thinks so because she shared an image from the show on Instagram and called her fellow cast members her "fam."

Willis is a South African actor whose parents are director Ian Gabriel and Eileen Willis, according to her IMDb profile she moved with her mother to the U.K. at the age of four and she quickly developed a love for acting.

She first began her training at Mountview Theatre School, and later studied at the Drama Centre London before starting her professional career.

Prior to appearing on FBI: International, Willis appeared in films like the comedy La Merde and Girls Don't Cry, and she also appeared in the first season of HBO's Gangs of London.

Her first major TV role came in the Voot TV show London Files, and she is also set to appear in a new show titled The Power as Sister Bianca, she stars alongside Toni Colette, Alice Eve and John Leguizamo on the show.
